What’s covered in our business sustainability training 

The climate crisis is looming large and the time to act is now. Learn how to begin your road to next zero and better calculate and understand your carbon emissions.   Our experts will talk you through actions that can be taken to reduce your carbon footprint to benefit not just your business but the plant too. Attendees will hear from local case studies and be able to compare the different carbon footprint calculators available for SMEs. 

Low Carbon Sustainability Training  

Get a handle on your business’s carbon footprint and how you can lower it with our engaging and interactive workshop.  
 
Residents of Brentwood, Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester, Tendring, Maldon, Uttlesford, Epping Forest and Rochford can learn about the benefits of writing an authentic environmental and social impact narrative to ensure the economic and environmental sustainability of your business, your stakeholders, and your community. 

When is it? 

Sessions are held on a Thursday at either 9.30-11.00, or 14.30-16.00. Sessions are held virtually via Google Meet. This training course is repeated multiple times throughout the year and held over 1.5 hours. Specific dates and times can be found below.

 Charlie interned with TBLA while completing his undergraduate degree in Business Management at the UEA. He was offered a full-time training contract with TBLA in 2021 and has since been contributing to the delivery of our Environmental and Social Impact Narratives service, alongside providing sound financial advice to SMEs and Start-Ups. 

 Owner of Maple Cone Ltd. Alasdair works mainly on the decarbonisation of energy for the sustainable future of the planet that is consistent with the principles of ESG.   A consultant, project manager and facilitator in energy systems and related subjects, he has worked on projects to develop decarbonisation pathways for sites and for multi-site organisations. Alasdair has been working with TBLA to develop their joint Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) impact narrative service.  

 Fran joined Triple Bottom Line Accounting in 2019 after retiring from a career in teaching secondary level history. She wanted to steer the company towards a new accounting method that really does measure the Triple Bottom Line – People, Planet as well as Profit.  Her roles include human resources management, ESG, marketing, and social media. She enjoys networking with the local business community and groups who share or are interested in her social and environmental principles. In 2020 she developed the TBLA Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) impact narrative service.   As part of the process, she has carried out an impact analysis of the TBLA social and governance profile and a whole company carbon calculation with accompanying improvements, target setting, a carbon reduction action plan, and an evolving impact narrative.
