We got everyone together at Colbea North for our summer Meet the Neighbours, and it turned out to be exactly the kind of afternoon we hoped it would be. Pizza, a bar, and a room full of people who work in the same building finally getting the chance to talk to each other properly.
The idea is simple
This is the bit we're strict about. There's no structured networking, no round-the-room introductions, no elevator pitches. Nobody is handed a lanyard and told to work the room. It's an afternoon off, and the conversations that come out of it are better for not being forced.
Some people talked shop and swapped numbers. Plenty didn't. Both are fine. The point isn't to generate leads by teatime, it's to make the building feel like somewhere you know people rather than somewhere you rent a room.
We'll do it again
Thank you to everyone who came along, and to Vision Reach and Speedy Freight for feeding and watering us. We run these regularly across our sites, so if you missed this one there'll be another. And if you're not at North yet but fancy the sound of it, hot desking starts at ten pounds plus VAT a day and the invitation extends to you too.

You also get a building full of other local businesses, which tends to be worth more than people expect until they've tried it.
