A Fond Farewell to Roseville & Celebrating Their Success.
As our former tenant, Roseville leaves the North Colchester Business Centre for a new premises, Colbea & Roseville reflect back on thier journey together.
A Growth Journey.
Roseville had been based at Colbea's North Colchester Business Centre for the past seven and a half years. Seb Tudor, Roseville's owner described our Business Centre as, "a friendly and professional environment that's given us a really positive base from which to build the company." It’s been a fantastic part of Roseville Decorating Contractors Ltd’s journey and Colbea have enjoyed watching every second of their success! Seb has always been known to be the cheeky chappy of our Business Centre with his endless jokes, his naughty chuckle and his endless cups of tea - which we think were secretly an excuse to banter our Centre Management team. So, seeing him leave is a mix of sadness and pride for everyone, staff and tenants alike.
Growing Through Adversity.
Over the last seven and a half years, Roseville has grown considerably, and they've now reached the exciting stage of moving into their very own brand-new, head office. It's not all been plain sailing for Roseville, as they navigated the COVID-19 pandemic early in their journey, compounded by the rising interest rates that followed, resulting a slow down in the property market, where Roseville picked up the majority of it's business.
If you've met Seb, you know he is a formidable force when it comes to his business and he wasn't going to let a "little" pandemic throw his business off-course. He diversified during the pandemic, adding B2B services, including office refurbishment to the mix. Roseville was even instrumental in Colbea's two office refurbishments in 2022 and 2023. One thing you can't do is put Roseville in a box, under Seb's leadership Roseville rose from strength to strength in difficult circumstances. The adversity didn't end there, 2025 saw Seb battle cancer which required surgery, endless appointments and some sheer determination to get through and still he didn't throw in the towel! Proving that it's never smooth sailing in business.
Taking a Leap of Faith.
While it’s a big step forward for the Roseville to move from the security that our rolling rental contracts offer small business, Sbe knew he needed to start thinking about how to grow Roseville in it's own independent space. Seb remarked that, "Roseville certainly wouldn’t be where we are today without the foundations we built during our time at Colbea. Colbea has provided us with a great place to start, develop and grow, and the support we’ve received along the way has been invaluable. It’s been a big part of our journey, and we’ll always look back on our time at North Colchester Business Centre very positively."
Goodbye Roseville, it's been a pleasure 👋
** Roseville can now be found in Judd's Place, Stanway. A newly built commercial community located opposite Curry's.
