Like any organisation, Colbea is only as good as its people. Behind the scenes at Colbea you will find highly skilled and dedicated people – they fall into three categories:
Directors make up the Board at Colbea, and these are led by Philip George, Colbea’s Chairman. The Directors are all volunteers and do not get paid for their work. They are drawn from the business community and between them possess high level management skills in areas such as IT, HR, sales, marketing, the law, accountancy and training.
Sponsors support the work of Colbea because they are committed to seeing new businesses thrive. Sponsors are sometimes companies which have benefited from Colbea’s business advice in the past, but others are simply business owners and managers who want to assist business and economic growth in their local communities.
The Administration Team at Colbea is the engine room of the Agency Administrators, secretaries and clerical staff keep the Business Centre running smoothly and engage in marketing activities to promote the work undertaken by the business advisers and trainers. Overseeing the whole operation is Chief Executive, Bob Baggalley, who brings extensive management experience from both the private and public sectors.
