Release dated 13 December 2005 – ‘Parisienne Delicacies Come to Colchester’
Christmas shoppers in Colchester on Fridays and Saturdays may find themselves tempted with delicious French fare provided by a new business called ‘La Petite France’.
Stephanie Planchenault’s business was opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of Colchester, Cllr, Terry Sutton and Mrs Wilma Sutton, on Friday 2 December. On offer are traditional French sweet and savoury pancakes cooked to order. Situated in town centre Culver Walk, La Petite France will initially be open only on Fridays and Saturdays but from the beginning of 2006 will be open every day except Sundays.
The business got off the ground with assistance from the Colchester Business Enterprise Agency (Colbea) whose advisers helped Stephanie with the planning and research required to set up her business. Richard Worn, one of the business advisers, was present at the opening ceremony.
