Release dated 13 April – ‘New Sponsor will help New Business’
The Colchester Business Enterprise Agency (Colbea) is delighted to welcome Leo Print as a new sponsor.
The Agency provides advice to help people start up new businesses and as such is strategically important in the economic growth of the area. Its services are available to anyone living in the Colchester and Tendring areas and on average it helps around 200 businesses get off the ground every year and sees approximately 2,000 clients.
Denise Stocker, Director of Leo Print, knows all about the work of Colbea as she used to be a management trainer and business adviser at the Agency, and will be returning there in May to deliver a module on a ‘Planning Your Business’ course. When she formed Leo Print in 2004 with co-director Steve Davis, Colbea was a natural first port of call. Their business advisers help with all sorts of issues from deciding on the legal structure of the new company to marketing, employing staff and finding premises. As well as advising the entrepreneur, Colbea provides ‘health checks’ to existing businesses, as Bob Baggalley explains: “After the first year or so of trading, business owners often find themselves at a crossroads and need to make decisions that will have long term impact. Our advisers look at the company over the course of a year, offering support through that time and lending their expertise to the situation. Sometimes the outcome can be dramatic and can turn around businesses who might have failed had we not been involved.”
