The Colchester Business Centre has launched a new service for small and start up businesses that will give them access to a full range of office services without the overheads.
The Virtual Office provides a business address, mail and fax forwarding, a dedicated direct dial phone line with phone answering in the client company’s name, email and voicemail messaging and a digital transcription service. Other services include use of meeting rooms, free car parking and a visitor reception service.
These are all services that young companies often struggle with in an attempt to keep down overheads. Bob Baggalley, Chief Executive of the Colchester Business Centre, said: “Small businesses often can’t afford to employ a secretary, especially not from day one, and in any case they frequently can’t justify a full time role. The virtual office gives an alternative whereby everything they might need is provided at low cost, allowing them to get on with building up their business but still provide a professional face to their customers. There are a handful of similar services already on the market but ours is designed specifically for small businesses and is very flexible; clients can choose the services and customise the package to suit.”
Should clients of the Colchester Business Centre’s Virtual Office need advice to help them through the early stages of trading, they will be introduced to Colbea’s accredited business advisors who have skills in areas such as marketing, finance, supply chain management, cash flow and planning for growth.
