A total of £21 billion is up for grabs by businesses involved with the 2012 Olympics.
With just over four years to go only one in 4 businesses have taken up the opportunities offered by the Olympics.
Two thirds of London businesses and 45% of South East firms closest to the main sites have been the most active according to the Games sponsor Lloyds TSB. While businesses in other areas of the UK have shown limited interest.
Lloyds TSB and the Federation of Small Businesses urged all businesses to grasp the golden opportunity offered by the 2012 Olympics and to register via the website for contract alerts relating to the Games.
