Biography

Val has been directly  involved in business support for over 16 years; initially working for a technical training company and more recently working with both public and private sectors to establish what has been described as “one of the most extensive networks in Essex”.  Today Val is director of the East Mentoring Forum.  The projects in which Val has been involved range from a national pilot project for NVQs into businesses; a women-returners programme; and becoming the principal innovator, developer and driver of the Business Champions Network, a scheme that has successfully supported 200 start-up businesses.  As a business adviser Val has worked with Essex Training & Enterprise Council, Learning & Skills Council and Business Champions.  Providing support for people starting a business has always been a particular passion for Val. ‹ Back
