Biography
Bob spent 40 years in the banking industry in the City. After initially working in Midland Bank branches he moved into International Banking, working for French and Japanese banks where he was responsible for European Operations.
Bob worked in senior management roles, which included responsibility for financial processing, trade settlements and international payments, office administration and security. He has been involved in major project management across Europe, such as the implementation of the euro, several IT projects, office relocations and Health & Safety. He held senior positions in several UK and European payment Trade Associations.
Since taking early retirement in 2004, Bob has been closely involved in the regeneration of the Hythe area of Colchester and the Colne Harbour Project Group, where he represents businesses and residents.
He joined Colbea as a business advisor in 2008, focusing primarily on Social Enterprise.
