They are drawn from local business life and represent a wide gamut of skills and experience. Together they allow Colbea access to a level of management expertise that is seldom found in any organisation.

Biography
Throughout his previous career in banking John always had a keen interest in encouraging the growth of small businesses in the local economy. On his move to Colchester in 1987 John became a Director of Colbea, a position he has held for 15 years. During this period he was chairman of Colbea for 10 years. John's dedication to the work of the Agency moved it into a higher gear and set the scene for the exciting work that is being done today. The new business centre is named John Russell House in honour of the commitment and sense of purpose he demonstrated. John is currently Chairman of the East Colchester Partnership, an organisation facilitated by Colchester Borough Council dedicated to the revitalisation of East Colchester, supported by private and Government funding.
